Chemicals
When combined with tin dioxide, indium tin oxide is formed. This substance is used for transparent conductive coatings.

Magnetic Semiconductor
Recently, films of chromium doped indium oxide were reported to be a magnetic semiconductor. This opens up areas for applications in spintronics.
