Calcium hydroxide is a soft, white alkaline powder that is slightly soluble in water and absorbs carbon dioxide from air. It can be used to make mortar, plasters, cements, and calcium salts. Calcium Hydroxide is also used as a bactericide, disinfectant or fungicide.
