AN 601 is a white, odorless powder used primarily as a flame retardant.Antimony trioxide is a white, odorless, crystalline powder. It is insoluble in waterbut soluble in concentrated hydrochloric and sulfuric acids. It can be used to flameproof textiles, paper or plaistics. It can also be found in paint and pigments. Antimony trioxide is also used as a ceramic opacifier, catalyst, or glass decolorizer.
