Product Description
Cadmium powder is a greyish-white metallic powder. It lowers the melting point of certain alloys when used in low percenages and is a high neutron absorber. Cadmium is often used in the manufacturing of batteries, specifically Ni-Cd storage batteries. It can also be found in fire protection systems, power transmission wires, and machinery enamels. Cadmium sees additional uses in photography and lithography, as well as photoelectric cells.
