Product Description
Chromium carbide is a powdered carbide of orthorombic crystals with the highest oxidation resistance at high temperatures of all metal carbides., It is often used within components for pumps and valves. Chromium carbide powder can also be used as a spray-coating material. Chromium Carbide is used in the following applications: cutting tools, cemented carbides, addtive in alloys to improve hardness. Chromium Carbide has a Mohs hardness of 1300 kg/Mm2 @ 20 degrees C. The chemical formula for Chromuim Carbide is Cr3C2.
