DIATOMACEOUS EARTH

Product #: DI-101

Product Description

Also called Diatomite, Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally occuring solf sedimentary rock that is easily broken down into a fine white-off white powder. DI-101 can be used to remove sediment from drinking water, pools, as a filler in foods, medicine, paints and plastics, and also pet litter. It is used to clean up industrial spills, and also used against bed bugs, cockroaches, crikets, fleas, ticks, spiders and other pests. Diatomaceous earth adheres to the body of the bed bug and damages the protective waxy layer of the bed bug cuticle by sorption and abrasion. These particles penetrate the bed bug body and get stuck between its exoskeleton joints. When the bed bug moves, these sharp particles physically cut the bug organs.
