Product Description
316 grade stainless steel is a silver-gray powder with a metallic sheen. It has high-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance. 304 and 316 stainless steels are typically used for pressing and sintering in powdered metallurgy (PM). 304 is a coorosion resistant grade that has good stability below 1000 degrees F, and is the better choice for parts that will NOT be subject to machining operations. 316 offfers the highest degree of corrosion protection. It is used in paint additives, and chemical filtration. The addition of titanium to stainless steel is to will help fight the intergranular corrosion.
