Barium Sulfate is often used to manufacture photographic papers and lithographic inks, artificial ivory, cellophane filler for rubber, polymeric fibers and resins. It can also be used for x-ray photography. Additionally, Barium Sulfate can be used as battery plate expanders and for weighting mud in oil-drilling
