Molybdenum Powder is a gray metallic transition metal with a Mohs hardness of 5.5. It is used in the production of alloys, stainless steel and superalloys. Molybdenum can withstand extreme temperatures without significantly expanding or softening, making it useful in environments of intense heat, including military armor, aircraft parts, electrical contacts, industrial motors, and supports for filaments in light bulbs.
